Your SCC Phi Beta Lambda Winners!

The 52nd Annual Missouri PBL State Leadership Conference was held this past weekend in Jefferson City, MO at the Truman Hotel. Two members of the SCC chapter of PBL participated in the competitive events and conference. For the first time, members placed in every event in which they participated!

Peggy Glenn (pictured on the left) placed 5th in Computer Applications

Tammy Slayden (pictured on the right) placed 3rd in Word Processing

Peggy and Tammy as a team placed 3rd in Desktop Publishing

These competitions were so tight that there were only 3 points separating 1st through 3rd places in Desktop Publishing and only 5 points separating 1st through 3rd places in Word Processing. Peggy and Tammy have represented SCC and your PBL chapter well! Please congratulate them when you see them around campus.

There are 500 members of PBL across the state representing both community colleges and universities. With 11,000 members nationwide, PBL is the largest post-secondary organization for students preparing for careers in various areas of business and business education.
